I became a mom in the wrong generation and my kids suffer for it. Just a vent:
My 7 yr old daughter gets bullied and picked on for just being a kid. She doesn't wear high heals or knee high boots, her hair isn't done all fancy everyday, she wears pigtails and ponytails. She dresses like a little girl. She runs like a kid should, free and unashamed and she gets laughed at it. I let her be herself and don't teach her that she needs to look a certain way to get attention. I teach her to be nice to everyone and they pick on her and even break her headbands and yet she draws them pictures and writes them notes so that they will be nicer to her and yet they are still mean. So many young kids are so jaded these days at a young age. When she started school I thought she's gonna do great, she so sweet and kind and yet she has the least amount of friends. I post pictures of her and people don't think she's cute because she isn't dresses like a small adult. I just feel so bad but don't want to ruin her childhood by making her grow up just so she will fit in. I just wish ppl would go back to letting kids be kids. sorry rant over😁
that's terrible that kids these days are that rude. what are the parents teaching these kids. your daughter is beautiful and I hope she knows she is 😊❤
i think shes beautiful. its a shame children are that way nowadays. makes me so sad. your doing the right thing but letting her be a kid. she will thank you for it in the long run. shes beautiful. and this is a beautiful picture 😊😊
that's so messed up!!! kids are so cruel these days and I'm glad you don't let your daughter dress that way. kids are supposed to be kids and act like kids not like adults. I'm so sorry for your little girl she is beautiful and sounds like a sweet heart hope she never changes :)
@kimberlyyyy, thank you. I have asked her teacher about the bullying but she says she never sees it because my daughter never brings it to her attention, and I get it, I try to teach her to handle things on her own if she can. as for the parents, where we live the parents act as badly as their kids, very rude and unfriendly.
F**K my overly emotional pregnancy self! I HATE stories like this!!!!!! Can you talk to her teachers && ask if there's a homework assignment all the kids can do to try to get the parents to talk to their children about individuality & being kind and compassionate to others? I would flip the F out on the school for not controlling those brats! I would do my own kind of damage control if I heard my son was being a dick like that!!!! Gurrrrrrrrrr i could go on for days because this 💩 really ticks me off!!!! It's awesome your daughter still tries changing their minds by showing she would make a remarkable friend, I just wish there was more the teachers and the "parents" could do. Best of luck! No child deserves to be treated like that.
@elenaj, @mommyofaking @excitedmomtobe @alainalovesmommy @nieshabaldwin23 @nathaneals_mommy @helpedbytmh thank you all so much. I try to raise her right and I love the way she is, but right now its just hard to see the struggles she faces. I am so proud of the way she handles herself and I tell her so all the time. I appreciate all the support from you ladies😁 I am so grateful to have other moms to vent to. I wish there were more moms like all of you in the world.💞
its a shame in this generation we have to teach or kids to have a "tough skin" not only because of the adults, but their peers. I'm sure she's exactly the way a child should be...carefree! tell her to keep being her despite what other ppl say/think
your daughter is beautiful....
I cryed when I red this. no joke I'm writing this with tears in my eyes.
she is going to grow up and be amazing. I knows she's young and doesn't need to worry about this now but when she's older it will do here a huge favor, men, not boys, but men who treat there woman right want more than beauty... and she will have that. kids may be mean now but they are going to envy here in the future. she's a beautiful little gitlr, with en even more beautiful heart....you couldn't ask for much more. your doing great mama💕
