I was diagnosed with hyperemesis and up until I was into my second trimester the only thing that would calm my sickness was Lays original potato chips. Everything else I tried would just make it worse. you just have to find that one thing that doesn't make you sick and take it EVERYWHERE with you.
@bstill60, I created the best little spread to calm my morning sickness! First thing I did when I woke up. Sometimes even before I peed was eat a piece of plain toast! Seriously. This is key! You really need to keep food in your stomach to keep the nausea at bay! I drank tons of water with lemon/lime or strawberries.(any fruit will work). I also drank ginger ale a lot for the first 2 weeks of my nausea! I tried only to eat things like toast. Crackers. Potatoes. Rice. Pasta. Any carbs that were filing. In between meals I would eat hard candy. The 2 that helped the most were peppermints and cinnamon disks. Sweety hard candy is a god send! Invest in plenty. Also I chewed minty gum! And lastly. Any cravings I had. No matter what. I ate it! In the first trimester. Eat what satisfies you. Because trying to find food that doesn't make you want to throw up is hard! My nausea only lasted 2 weeks. Thank the lord. And all I pretty much ate was. Toast. Pickles. Green apples with salt. Pepperoncinis. Salad. Cucumbers. Pretty much any fresh fruits and veggies that were cold. And anything salty! Good luck! Sorry the post is so long! You will get past the nausea. Just hang in there and eat stuff you crave! 😊
try crackers for now so your stomach would settle with the salt from the cracker and when you feel lik you won't gag on something lik.soup or something try eating a lil bit of it
