Do any of you ladies just use formula? My nipples are scabbing and they hurt so bad...dont know how…

How long have you been breastfeeding?

i pump..gunner cant latch cuz my nipples are flat :( and when he latches the nipple shield it hurts so bad i wanna cry... but i pump and they just look so irritated :(

@sinabear, I understand :/ but there's A LOT of mom's who only formula feed my sister in law did there's nothing wrong with it:) don't feel down on your self momma your doing great with what you have and if that's what you have to do there is NOTHING wrong with it!

I just formula feed my son. My nipples started bleeding and scabbing the first couple days I breast fed. It hurt soo bad, but I had to quit because my son ate more than I produced.

@ftm15, thanks girl...if i have to stop..i dont wanna feel bad... :( how would i stop? my boobs get hard & hurt..they get full :(

I'm in the same situation as you @caydensmommy @sinabear , I don't want to stop but my breast are really irritated ,I do both but think I need to stop breast feeding

i only breastfed for a month, then i switched my son to just formula. it was a little hard but he's fine and they're gonna get really hard and its gonna hurt but thats just the milk filling in and eventually it'll dry up. doesnt take long, there's nothing wrong with formula feeding your little one will be healthy & happy either way :)

@caydensmommy, @lee0924 I'm glad im not the only one...man they hurt ALL the time :/ does your guys hurt all the time too???? & @waitingonnoah20 thanks girl...i try sooo hard.. im constantly in pain..all day everyday even after i pump they are soooo sore. what formula do you use?

ALL the time,and I love breast feeding my nipples look horrible now,and I feel a knot in my breast ,since yesterday ,😕 should I worry? @sinabear

My son is almost 5 months, I had to quit breast feeding him at like 4 days old. So they don't hurt anymore, it took a little while for the milk to go away. I just left them alone, it was kinda painful because they were full of milk but it eventually went away.

@lee0924, yeah :( mine look horrible too...ugh and ouch!!!!😔 that doesnt sound good at all girl..maybe its a milk duct?

I used nipple cream religiously too I think it may have helped a lot bc I had no issues with dry scabby of cracked nipples. But like @ftm15 said there are a lot of moms who only give formula. You have to do what's best for you and baby. He will be happy and full whether he gets fed breastmilk or formula. You've done a great job trying mama be proud of yourself for trying!

i use only formula.....my baby is healthy and happy and we never have had any problems with it either. but as for your nipples you could try nipple cream...alot. but nothing is wrong with formula. ☺

@sinabear, I was told by a nurse at the hospital to put a cabbage leaf in my bra if I wanted my supply to go.

nothing wrong with formula at all. at first i was afraid i wouldn't bond with the baby so well if i only formula fed... but with my health issue i may not be able to breastfeed. took me a while to accept it but i realized my baby will still love me breastfed or not. ur doing a great job @sinabear ur a great mother dnt let that get u down
