When you get a C section, do you get an epidural? or do they even numb you before cutting you? How…

I had an epidural that numbed me from the center of my stomach down, they did a pinch test to see if I needed more medication and kept upping it until the pinch didn't hurt me ...you can feel them cutting you but it's just like pressure not sharp pains

I got a spinal block and I didn't feel a thing. Nothing. Only felt my body moving while they were doin what they do lol if that makes sense... the shot in the spine was the worst part for me.

I got epidural and it was a laser used so I could smell the burning flesh and I felt the wobbly pressure when they were taking her out like when you in a swimming pool lol but that was 13yeRs ago tomorrow I have my pre op so we will go over exactly how she gone do it n what drugs I'm getting lol

The shot didn't hurt just scary that they tell u how absolutely still u have to be when they do the epidural because one wrong move could paralyze u at least thTs what they told me Bk then lol

@ginag918, ohhh, that kind of would've been cool if there was such a thing as laser epidurals lol. Yea my mom scared me out of getting an epidural with my first son because she said you could get paralyzed. and everyone always complains about the pain in their back afterwards so I was trying to avoid that even tho I went natural and still have pain in my back.

I have had no back issues but my cousin said her back bothers her since the epidural it's been 13 years I'm hoping to have the same good experience

I had a spinal and I wish I would have done the spinal with my son 12 years ago. Sometimes I still have back pain were they did it but its not horrible :)
