your immune system and ability to fight off infection is lower during pregnancy so they advise against any piercings or tattoos

Most places won't let you get a piercing if you're pregnant.

I was told they infection was only if I didnt take care of it.

I have, but I didn't know I was pregnant, I wasn't that far along. Maybe 3 or 4 weeks. They say not to, though, because there's a risk of infection
