You can mix pumping sessions to freeze more in a bag

Like @californiahaley you can mix the sessions just make sure it's cold before you put it in the one that's froze or it can make that one thaw out a little and make it spoil

If you're going to mix DONT freeze part of it. Example: if you pump once a day and get 1.5 oz put each day in the fridge, milk last for 8 days in the back of the fridge. When you have the amount of milk you want say 3 days worth pour the 3 different milk sessions into a storage bag then freeze. Don't put fresh milk into a already cold bottle of milk wait till it's chilled a little first. When labeling label the FIRST sessions date and time that's the milk that will go bad first and so you will want to use all the milk before the firsts days will go bad.

@californiahaley, that makes sense. And when freezing in bags I heard there is a certain way to defrost those??

My lactation consultant said its okay to put it in the freezer just make sure what you add is cold first? & she said defrost in the fridge but I can't remember what she said for if you need it right away. Maybe call and ask your hospital or lactation consultant?

Right away @kate_magalina I think you can put it into a cup of hot water and let it defrost that way! But okay as long as I can add to same day stuff! This whole breast feeding thing is complicated. A blessing but complicated.
