I got mine taken out 5 years ago. it wasn't that bad! I wasn't asleep or anything. they gave me numbing cream and 4 shots to numb me. they had to cut two out and pull the other two but all I felt was pressure. the process wasn't bad. but the pain after...that was hell lol thank god I had pain pills. just make sure to not eat something with chunks because of the possibility of it getting stuck and causing infection

I had all 4 of mine out plus 2 more because apparently I'm a weirdo and have extra. Lol. I was knocked out every time, felt nothing during the procedure. In pain afterwards to the point where I didn't want to do anything. Also had pretty bad swelling. I could eat jelly, smoothies, things like that.

i did. it wasn't too bad. i was not put to sleep. i ate yogurt and mashed potatoes stuff like that. it wasn't a bad experience for me. the pain afterwards wasn't too bad either.

if theyre above your gums they should be able to just pull them. my kept trying to come in but never did so they had to cut them out. so you shouldnt have to be super drugged unless they have to do surgery to cut them out

I don't like yogurt or pudding so I could just cut my food up super small and just swallowed it. Lol & no drinking from a straw or you'll get dry sockets

this has made me worried... does it matter that my teeth are already out. ? Will they still have to super drug me

I had all four of mine cut out in the same day. had to be put under. the after pain was definitely better then dealing with the teeth themselves. I had to eat soft foods like pudding for a week or so. but it wasnt bad they sent me home with pain meds.

the first hr or so u can talk but u sound funny until the meds wear off

I babied my teeth after I had my wisdoms out. the day of and the day after are the worst as you just don't want to do much of anything but sleep. but after those days it gets easier and better

Don't be scared if you go to a good dentist you are in great hands if they put you to sleep you will think it never even happen cause it happens so quickly just be sure to have that pain meds and ice packs asap afterwords ! The pain only last 2 days for me then I was just super sore

I had mine taken out when I was one week pregnant. didn't even know I was pregnant :/ my son is perfectly fine though! I have the BIGGEST fear of the dentist! I've had almost all of my baby teeth pulled out by them so I was dreading getting my wisdom teeth out. but I went in and they put me on oxygen and the dentist came in and started telling me a story and all I heard was Once upon a time and I was out like a light. the next thing I know I open my eyeballs with a crap ton of cotton in my mouth and I asked my mom who she was lmao. your mouth will just feel really really weird. ice packs are your best friend. yogurt and ice cream is what I ate mostly and I had dissolvable stitches. don't worry, you got this!!

Yea but it wore off quickly they won't let you leave the office till it wears off and you have to have someone drive I've actually had a lot of work done of my teeth every time I go in I dread it

I have had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out they numbed my mouth with a big shot I didn't feel the top two getting pulled out but they had to cut the bottom 2 out and I felt both of them cause the numbing shot wore off and the dentist didn't wanna wait for the numbing medicine to kick in that hurt like.hell. afterwards I was in really bad pain but they prescribed me pain meds so after that got filled it helped I ate yogurt the first few days and I could do stuff still but my mouth hurt for like a week and they gave me enough pain meds to last plus extra

@alicia3_18 your going to want someone to watch ur baby the first day most likely :/

I was put to sleep. it wasn't too bad. you should plan on sleeping for at least a day to two. the knockout was the worst part. no tooth related pain although I have to be more careful about hot foods as that skin if burned exposes the bone and roots and it can be painful even fifteen years later so mortal is take care of your mouth and do what doc says until the stitches dissolve our fall out.

I got all 4 of mine out at once. they put me under I woulda slapped them if they didn't lol. but I was groggy when I woke up and even before I got home... only a 15 min ride tops I could feel all the pain. I hated the pain pills they gave me. all it did was put me to sleep for a few hours but I'd still be in so much pain. so I switched to just 4 ibuprofen like every 4-6 hrs wish helped alot! but the first day you won't be able to do anything but lay down and get up to pee lol I'm not going to lie the first two days suck but after that it gets alot easier. and buy a ton of ice packs so you can keep one on ur cheeks all the time to help with bruising.

@alicia3_18 thats what I'n scared of too!! I have 2 kids to take care of and my baby is only 3 months, I cant be sleeping all day!!

I was put out with mine didn't feel nothing till a hour after words and it was painful for me but I believe they give you pain meds it's different for everyone though I had a friend who got his pulled he had no swelling or pain I still have to get my other 2 pulled I'm dreading it

I am getting some out to I'm scared of the drugs! I Dont wanna be knocked out . or have to be stoned out of my head taking care of a newborn...
