Does anyone know if cot bumpers are a must have? thinking of putting little one in her cot tonight but haven't got bumpers yet as she's been in her moses basket since birth. she's getting very long for it now 😁🙊

what's people's opinions on cot bumpers?
haven't actually got any bedding for Kai"s room yet but I know some sets include the cot bumpers .. 🤔
sjbeanie They are pretty but new research suggest not to use them :) of course it's personal preference
sara-lou86 I used a breathable mesh bumper for Morgan. Started to with Max but then took it off

Nah! Not a must have, my little boy has been in his cot since he was around 4 months and is 14 months now. Plus there have been articles where the baby has strangled itself on the bumper string. When I worked in a nursery after hearing this we removed the bumpers just to safe guard ourselves but as long as you make sure the strings are tied and not loose it's safe enough :)
