Just got home to a letter from the hospital with an appointment for a glucose tolerance test. Letter says my doctor referred me but no ones mentioned anything to me about it. Is this just a standard appointment that everyone gets???
I was only I didn't need one as there is no history of diabetes in my family x
I had to have one at 25 weeks due to weight gain, it's vile!! luckily results have come back ok, better to be safe as it can cause issues
Urgh I'm getting a bit sick if all the appointments!! Iv been fine with sugar all the way through my pregnancy so what difference would it make now! I've only got 7 wks to go!
I got told I had to have one because I was bordering overweight when I got pregnant. not sure if your area just offer them but my other friends who are pregnant do not have to have them! X
Yes I had mine last week. It is to check that the pregnancy hasn't caused diabetes x

Mommas, do you take your kids with you to run errands and go to mundane appointments? On two separate occasions, a doctors appointment for me and today at a car service appointment, someone has remarked "you couldn't find a babysitter?!" It never crossed my mind to find a babysitter. You guys dont judge but i also need some feedbck...well im almost 15 weeks and just now about to have my 1st ob appointment and i had a ultrasound done via the hospital when i was 6 weeks what are the chances of me having another coming up with this on this appointment ?

Spoke to my midwife she said it's coz my blood sugar came back high in my 28wk bloods. My dad and grandad are both diabetic as well so that may be why. X
