did anyone's pediatrician prescribe this for their baby? mine did but didn't say why. she is breastfed and gaining weight so I don't know why she would need vitamins. any help would be great thanks.

if your breastfeeding its viatmin d. your breast milk does not have viatamin d so they have you give your baby a dose of viatamin d once a day.

Probably just to make sure the baby is getting all the vitamins they need.
