UGH , my belly button piercing keeps getting infected , I don't know whether to leave it in or just let it go 😩

Never take out an infected piercing. Use sea salt & warm water to clean it

@snowbunny, Yea that will be good. I just took mine out about a month ago and I have to stick my bar back in the there every few days. I was so shocked that it was trying to close cause I've had it so long.

@jackee856, and I'm still thinking about it might just take it out stick in here and then so it doesn't close and maintain cleaning it everyday

I've had mine for 5 years...I took it out for a couple days and when I went to put it back in it was already starting to close. You will probably have to keep putting the bar through ever couple of days to make sure it doesn't close. They say peroxide isn't good to clean piercings with...I have 7 piercings and I always used a sea salt spray, antibacterial soap and if I didn't have those I would use Epsom salt. @snowbunny ...if it is infected I think you should take it out and continue to clean it.

I use alcohol or peroxide to clean mine is that bad ? I think my hole stretched a little but the red went down some

if you clean it when you take it out before you put it back in it shouldn't be from that. I've always had a hard time with my belly button all my other piercings I've had no problems with

mines red to but that's from stretching.

get a pregnancy bar and switch it out. clean it 2x a day. I used hot water and rock salt in a cup and put the cup over the ring and lay down it burns Bella bad if it's infected but works great

@steph11, I take mines out everyday before I shower maybe I'm not suppose to do that and I've heard about that that's why I'm scared to take it out right now

@babyg2015, you had yours for a very long time maybe that's why yours never closed and that doesn't sound like a bad idea actually lol

don't take it out if it's infected. it'll trap the infection in and possibly make it worse. let it get better than take it out if you want to. mine does it everytime I put something back threw it

like 4 years. thats y i took mine out as soon as it started irritating me.. probably not but if ur worried about it u can keep sticking the bar in to keep it open..better than having an irritating infected hole :)

did you ask your doctor for the plastic ones they give you during pregnancy,or are you still using the metal ones

@babyg2015, how long did you have yours pierced ? I'm only 18 weeks my belly isn't that big yet

@may24th, I know I'm getting annoyed by it already no matter how many times I clean it it doesn't seem to go away and if it does it comes back out

u should take it out so it doesnt get worse. i took mine out like at 28 weeks..and put it in after i had her.

mine did that and I finally just took it out. :(

@18andpregnant, I had mine for about 8 months and my skin is red around the barbell like its irritated

I've had nine for like a year, I took it out eventually and I just put a bar in it every once in a while and its fine. but mine has never got infected
