I'm having a home water birth and I've gotten a lot of flack about how it's going to hurt and how I'm going to want medicine. But, I figure women have been giving birth without medication since the beginning of time and they can do it. Why can't I?

Wow! I wanted to try that but I didn't do enough research and planning for that so maybe next time! I totally agree with you though we are strong women and we can do it!! I also want to experience it naturally just in case this is my only one ya know?

Yes! I already have serious back issues and I've heard so many stories about people having back problems afterward. I can't afford anymore pain in that area!

I got one and it was life saver, don't have any back problems.... everyone is different, I think going all natural is great but I was in a lot of pain

I had an epidural but It wore off and stopped working around the time I was ready to push so I had no pain meds while I pushed for 2 hours! It was very very painful! My baby girl was 9lbs5oz. I did get the horrible epidural headache! But not everyone gets that.
