I don't get this. So to prevent SID you're supposed to put baby on their backs. They say stomach sleeping and even side sleeping can increase risk. But if your baby has GERD (acid reflux) Dr will reccomend you to elevate their heads at bedtime and sometimes they even recommend side sleeping. Im just lost...

another thing about SIDS is to keep the house warm but not hot.

Seriously? That's crazy. Good thing I don't really have a problem with acne anymore

@laura_love lmao... yes that's crazy...I work in a pharmacy and they have acne meds that potentially cause you to commit suicide.. lol I mean so is the acne meds even worth dying for? maybe so to get a pretty face!

That's like medicine. My dad takes meds to help calm his stomach. Yet, one of the symptoms of his stomach medicine is naseau. Makes no sense

@sking092192 yes I have my baby sleep on the boppy pillow on his side too...he doest have gerd tho. he just doesn't sleep on his back well.he fusses...but he starting to slide down and I've caught him a few times on his stomach. he can move his own head very well but it worries me to so I'm trying to see how I can get him in the bassinet now.. I may try to elevate the mattress in it. because flat on his back he isn't having it @sking092192

@laura_love its all confusing because I was reading they don't know the REAL cause of it. they know things to help reduce it "possibly"

@sexii_diiva, I am literally dealing with this problem right now. my doctor said to keep her elevated on her boppy pillow on her right side. well that worked until I woke up this morning and flipped out thinking she suffocated because her face was buried in the boppy pillow.. I have no idea what's safe anymore. my doctor said she can't be flat or on her stomach, hell she choked out and quit breathing while she was propped up!

Some people believe that it's actually safer for babies to sleep on their side or stomach rather then their back

At Walmart they have this bed wedge and it elevates the bed wherever you put it

if they were to vomit in their sleep if they are on their back it would go back to their stomach rather than to their lungs due to the way the esophogus is shapped... just from my work SIDS class
