Leaking or not you can still breastfeed don't worry about that. My best advise is to spend every second with your baby during the first week of his/her life. For example, if someone says here let me take the baby and you go have a nap. Don't. Have a nap when your baby is sleeping and sleep right beside him/her. The closer the two of you are the better your chance of being successful breastfeeding. It brings in your milk.. Also lots of skin to skin the first few days!!

I'm just going to warn you, chances are the first week of breastfeeding is going to hurt! my nipples were cracking and my boobs were sore. if your baby its having trouble latching or you're in to much pain, have them check for tongue/lip tied. my son was tongue tied until we left the hospital, which was probably the cause for my nipples cracking in the first place. But trust me, once you get past the first week, it gets SO much better!! I wouldn't go back and do it differently for a million bucks! just remember lanolin cream will be your best friend and already be patient, it's new for your baby too.

I never leaked before labor but if I squeezed my nipple stuff would come out around 25 weeks. Best tip just keep going it's rough at first but remember your baby is learning too

My mil told me a trick to help latch.

So make ur 2 fingers like ur smoking and put then around the start of you nipple and push foward.So you nipple is smashed up this will help ur baby get more of it in thier mouths. This helped me soo much after a few days she had no trouble!

Also nurse nurse nurse it may feel like she wants to do is eat but she is building your supply so just let her do her thing.

@forever_1127, the mothers milk tea if you use it 3 times a day it helps but I just didn't like the taste it's like black licorice. Just drink tons of water! Also if you getting the epidural do not wait get it asap I didn't get one but I always hear people say they waited till 7 cm. But why f your gonna get it get it early so you can enjoy the labor. My next baby I may get it because with my girl it's like I wasn't there my eyes were closed the whole time and even when she was born I was so tired I couldn't really enjoy the moment.
