What's everyone's opinion on the epidural!? I'm terrified of giving birth..

I did it, it does hurt but I didn't feel any contractions I don't think they're bad I am thankful I had it.

I did 15 hours of natural labor and maybe it was because my contractions were soooo strong and bad but the epidural didn't hurt at ALL. I just felt an awkward pressure in my lower back for a couple seconds and relief. it was wonderful haha.

I got it. the worst part was the numbing shot but that still wasn't painful just alittle burning. I loved the epidural because I felt nothing at all. but I do have some back pain where it was every now n then.

I got the epidural. I didn't feel them giving it to me, mine only worked on both sides of my body for maybe a hour. Then quit working on one side, so I could feel everything on that side but not the other.

mine worked really well.. i got it at 5 a.m had her at 9.pm and it didnt wear off i was scared of getting it i was shaking so hard but it doesn't hurt at all.! just feels like someone pokes u..

I got it I didn't feel the numb shot or the eprduial. I got it at 5cm and it worked the entire time. they give it to u in between contractions
