Any tips for taking a 6 week old to church ? My bfs family wants us to go to church with them on Sunday and I'm a bit…

same here I'm not doing it. I feel like 2 weeks is too young

@alicia3_18 I don't blame you I wouldn't take her out in public if I could help it when she was 2 weeks but now she's been in public and is a very good baby but church services are during her awake/play time so I'm afraid she'll want to play and have attention

I took my son to church when he was 2 months old & the loud singing made him upset so I had to sit in the nursery & calm him down. It's doable but I wouldn't recommend it. Of course everyone there understands but you're not really enjoying the experience of church if you're sitting in the nursery the whole time with a newborn.

@iloveyou that really sucks...she's usually really good with loud noises and loud people so hopefully the singing and what not doesn't bother her ☺️though I'm probably Gunna sit near the nearest exit just in case

That's what I did. I sat in the back just in case he started getting fussy I could duck out to the nursery without making a big scene.

& my son is good with loud noises too but when it's time for church (6pm) it's usually his nap time so they wake him up, plus every one in church wants to get their hands on him & he doesn't really take to total strangers all that well & being passed around.

I'd give church a try at least then you'll know if you can take her back while she's still really young 😊
