@teenmommy17, yes you can give them a bath, I just tried not to touch it much and tried not to keep it under water long so it would dry out faster. My doctor just told me the less you touch it the less chance it I'll get infected.

@krb0911, FTM and had a question once i came across this :P everyone is saying it's still open and will heal and such, Once the cord falls off we are allowed to give them actual baths, Would it effect the way to give them the bath? should the belly button still be avoided? @sking092192 sorry for taking over your question area! :z

my son had that too and the doctor put some cream on it to help heal faster.

it just still needs to dry up when you go to your baby's next doctor appointment they might put silver nitrate on it to help if it hasn't closed by then. that's what they did for my baby girl

Yes it normal! My doctor told me not to bother it just keep giving her baths every few days and it will clear up. zit tool a good 2 weeks to be fully gone

I think some discharge is normal. I used alcohol pads to clean it and help it dry up.

Hmm Yeh I don't know about that. Wait a few hours and then make an appt if u can get it seen today just to be on the safe side

That's normal but if u see white stuff, the doctor will remove it at the 2 week follow up checkup

Normal and don't do anything don't stick anything in it either it's still open it will heal on it's own in good time
