Has anyone left baby's father mid-pregnancy? I am in a verbally/emotionally and sometimes physically abusive relationship with my (soon to be) daughter's father. I have decided to move to another state where i lived previously, about 8 hours away. That is where my support system is as I have little to no support here. I know this is the advice I would give someone else yet I am having doubts it is the right thing to do....

Thanks ladies. @dessie0621, is it normal to have doubts and feelings of guilt? I keep letting him get into my head that he can be better etc but since I've been pregnant I've moved out twice (once to a homeless shelter) only to come back to the same old same old after a week or so...

you definitely need to leave. they never change and it never gets better.

I just keep trying to tell him and myself that if he was going to be better or go to counseling etc he would have done it by now. I'm six plus months already.

It's normals. I had mine tell me over and over and over. Here I am at 30 weeks he's still the same. Sometimes it's better to walk away into something better instead of waiting for the scene to change @simplisticdreamer

I just try to keep in mind what I would tell my child to do in this situation... it helps
