Maybe sucking is just a good distraction. I'm going to ask my doctor if I can nurse him while he gets his shots. Hoping she lets me
I agree whenever my oldest got shots his doctor started giving him lollipops to suck on during the shots once he was old enough for them, and he wouldn't cry, but when he didn't have one he cried. @regelbaby
Ya my midwife told me studies have shown it reduces pain. @prettyyellow he had blood taken in the hospital and he was laying down and he was screaming. He got the bloodwork redone at home a cpl days later while I breastfed him.... Not a peep.
I'm sorry I have no idea. They asked me to lay him down. However it won't hurt to ask. It might be a good way to distract your baby from the shots. @regelbaby

pretty sure they get 3-4 at 2,4,6 and 15-18 months. then no more until 4-5
I'm a nurse but sticking a baby would break my heart. I've never had to but I would if it was needed to keep them healthy. I will stick to my geriatric patients for now.
i teared up a bit it was sad..but i just grabbed her as soon as she was done and held her oh so close. then she stopped crying soon after.
and i think she only has 3 needle shots and then one that she drank. i forgot about the one she drank. but its still terrible. lol

She asked me to hold his head at angle that would allow the liquid to just go down his throat. So he wouldn't spit it out. @wyattsmommy91
ohhh yes she did. lol i held her hand and covered our eyes(i didn't wanna see). but she cried like she has never cried before. it was sad and heartbreaking 😞😢😭💔

My son had a liquid shot to drink, and 3 needle shots so it was a total of 4 .
at my babys 2 month app. she got 4😞😢 it was something im not looking forward to doing again.
My doctor also recommended me getting the flu shot while pregnant ? I'm not sure if I want to or if i should ? It's all scary to me !! What do you ladies think ? Did you get the flu shot while pregnant ? Are there any risks? Or should I wait ? I'm so scared of taking anything while pregnant , much less getting this shot.. He said it isn't mandatory , just recommended.
Ok so the kiddo has his 4 year check up tomorrow... will he be getting any shots?? He’s always been up to date with them but will he need boosters tomorrow?? I always feel so bad when he gets his shots 😩😩
Flu shot is necessary??
I took my son to his new pediatrician yesterday. I loved her! Except for one thing. She said to go back in 4 months so my son gets his flu shot. I told her we don't get the flu shot and she said he has to because I'm having a baby soon and that's what's best. Really? He got the tdap and I'm getting the tdap in two weeks but is the flu shot really necessary? I've always been against getting it. What are your thoughts?

My baby boy has me so worried he has such delicate skin. Calling the doctor tomorrow to take him in & get checked out. No matter what lotion I use on his skin he gets like this. Breaks my heart
