So I am a little late but I never posted my birth story! Here goes. My baby was due the 23rd of Feb but did not come. My mom came out and spent the week wuth me expecting him to come. She ended up having to go back home (6 hour drive) to do some things and was coming back out the next day. Well at midnight that night I got up to pee and went to get back in bed. I felt a pop and then water came gushing out. I cleaned myself up and called my mom telling her my water broke. My fiance and I make the hour drive to the hospital and they check to see if my water broke. The nurse came back and said I did not. I then asked her what all the fluid was that was coming out of me. She then realized it actually did break. (I had 27cm of fluid. They told me the normal ranger was 5-7cm. Needless to say my bed was wet all day! haha) So I got set up in a room. 12 hours later I was still at 1cm and not doing much. They started me on pitocin at 1pm. By 4pm I was at 4cm and needed an epidural! By 5:30pm I was at 6cm and at 6:30 I was at 10cm. They called the midwife and I started pushing at 7pm. At almost 9pm they decided to try the vacuum on his head because he was stuck im the birthing canal and told me that if that doesnt work in 3 chances then I would need a c section. Well one try and 5 mins later and I had my precious baby boy. Born March 1st @ 9:08pm. He was 6lbs 10oz and 19 inches long! Sorry my story is so long!!
