That's how old my son was when he started doing that too @regelbaby

Ohh k thanks girls I'll try burping him too. He's 3 weeks old so my milk has been thick for a while I assume @brittanygary @mom2be96 @mamabirch20

I agree with @mom2be96 I was having the same problem with my son and a mom on here suggested me to burp him when he does that and it actually worked

it could also be they need to burp. that's what my girls problem is. she'll get all frustrated and I'll burp her and shell be fine.

yes, they get frustrated that they can't get the milk out. the lactation consultant said keep trying and they will calm down . it just takes time for them to get use to the milk being thicker. @regelbaby

So they get frustrated ? @mamabirch20

I learned from a lactation consultant that the first milk they drink from our breast is thin and as they keep nursing the milk gets thicker and its harder for the babies to get the milk. my son does the same @regelbaby

My son does that too. Let me know if you find out why. He eventually will latch but sometimes it's a struggle
