I think I may have a uti. I'm concerned, can this harm the baby? I just got approved for Medicaid but don't have any paperwork or card yet. I had to switch doctors because my last one doesn't except Medicaid insurance. I have an appt with my new doctor Monday. would I and the baby be OK to hold out that long? ahh... pls ladies I need advice!

doctors offices can usually look up medicaid if you know you've been approved

@rlcorreia123, I won't. if it gets any worse I will go to the er. if not I'll just tell my doctor about it Monday.

i agree with the water and pure cranberry juice, but you are going to need antibiotics regardless to make sure it's gone. A UTI can cause pre term labor, and the longer baby is in there, the better. medicare will cover up to 3 months back, definantly don't let it go.

You should be fine until Monday. Just keep hydrated, because a UTI CAN cause contractions and if you feel you're getting them, go to L&D. Medicaid will cover all your bills from the last 3 months, so you'll be fine if you need to go to the hospital.
