you should check your policy. nurseries should be 48 hours after the last bout of v or d.

I'm also a nursery nurse. I know how managers can be but I just ring and say simply that I've been vomiting and diarrhea and I will see them in 48 hours lol!

Check ur contract. If it's against policy she can't do it. If she does she's risking tribunal.

I left a few minutes ago due to being sick on site and my boss sending me home. However I am now afraid she will avoid paying me for the day's work, which is against policy but she's awful at making that decision :/ :(

Wow that's defo breaching some rules!! I work in a secondary school and we have to be sickness free for 3 days b4 were allowed back in work. U defo shouldn't be there!! Not to mention if something happens a because ur tired from being up all night!! X

Omg who do u work for? They can't force make u come in when you're ill. U could take them to court and depending where u work it could be against health and safety rules as well as voiding public liability insurance.
