So I'm breastfeeding and I wanna know how do you know when it's appropriate to stop. I usually let him go about 15 mins but he was acting like he wasn't getting enough so I let him eat until he stopped and while I was burping him he spit up so much milk it came out of his nose. So should I stick to the timed feedings or let him eat until he stops?

I just let mine go until he stops personally I told his doctor that is what I was doing and they didn't object to it.

my lactation consultant told me to go until your empty because it takes a few minutes to get to the fatty milk that fills them up....my son is usually on both boobs for like 20-30 minutes.

you can try to let her feed for a little bit then try to burp her then feed some more. that way there isn't so much air built up
