any mama's do Vbac or attempted it? can you give me some tips, advice, stories? I won't be…

I don't but my cousin has had two successful vbacs at a birthing center and everything went smooth. Her last was a water birth and she said it was her best birth experience yet. She's prego with number 8 now.

I did a vbac and had no time for medication... got hospital at 5cm, shot to 10cm in 1hr and he was coming out.

@junebaby, 8 babies?! wow! brave! I'm so scared of uterine rupture or the baby being stuck. my mom delivered two 10 lb boys and 3 girls 7,8, and 9 lbs all naturally and unmedicated.

the last time my mom had a baby (11 years ago) she was in active labor for 46 hours and they told her she would have a csection but she didn't. she also went at least a week overdue with all of us. my daughter was a week early and still huge.

@bree31, was it manageable pain? which would you prefer- vaginal delivery or csection?

My first was a c-section. I begged my doc to let me try a vbac n he agreed. I went into labor on my due date n everything went well. The labor only took about 8 hours. As well as with my third even tho they didn't want to let me saying that things had changed. I really think docs don't like to do vbacs. They act like its a big risk but I don't think u should be made to deliver by c section just because uve had one prior. My recovery was so much easier with the vbac. Good luck!

@manina4, thank you! I had a really bad experience with my first and they wouldn't even attempt to allow me to deliver vaginally. I guess we'll see!!
