ok I have a super important question for young washington moms. I am a dependent on my moms blue cross blue shield of tennessee and that covers all my labor and delivery bills but not my babies. can I qualify for state insurance also? or does anyone know any child only insurance policies in washington? please help!!!

most insurances will cover baby for 30 days and then you can get medicaid

@junebaby, would they accept me if i am already covered? i know some people who are bcbs policy holders who also have state but i dont know any dependents.

just apply n see if they accept or deny you. we wont really know, its really up to them. if you go to the dshs you can go n talk to them but go first thing in the morning Bcuz it gets busy fast

ok so I got a call back from apple health (washingron state health) and if you are pregnant and make little money you qualify and you can have it as a secondary insurance. so i can stay on my moms and the state will cover the babies hospital bills. then after a month they are qualified for apple health kids. whew! i feel way better now!
