Stupid question : does ur mucus plug fall out before u can dilate

omg I feel you on that! I had contractions all night before my appointment and I was only dilated a 1/2 a centimeter more then the week before. I was only at a two.... but that night I had contractions all night and into the next day...which is when my water broke and when I got to the hospital I was already at a 5 lol so it could just happen all of a sudden. to me it's like ok I don't think these are all for nothing just your body getting ready :) are you timing them?

I went to the doctors they said my mucus plug is still there and I'm not dilated but how can u have that much pain and nothing lol

My contractions felt like that. the day my water broke I couldn't even walk or talk during them.
