I don't have a breast pump. I got a "kit" but not the actual pump. Should I get one or will I survive without one?

You'll be fine without one. It's not like a requirement. But if you ever want to leave baby you'll have to get formula.

you should get one...aleast a manual one. It would help when you decide to return to work

@kirstenxoxo, I had the same dilemma, I didn't know what to do for when I went back to work. so I just got a single electric pump at walmart. I got an even Flo one, we got it for 25 $ and it works! I love it so far!

I'd get one Cuz if you need to release your milk but baby isn't hungry, you could get engorged. and that's no fun at all.

@goldenboobies, That is another reason I got one lol my friend told me how awful getting engorged is and I decided real quick!! lol

you can survive without one. I never stored milk as my babies were never away from me for long. The longest my girls were away was for 2-4 hrs (when I'd go to the movies or dinner for a date with husband). For those times I could hand express 8oz in 10 minutes and I'd feed them before I left.

After all that, it really depends on how often you will be away from baby.
