Labor Story (Sorry so Long): On Feb 24th I had a Dr appt and I was 1 cm and 50%, my midwife did a cervical sweep. I woke up at 1:45 am on Feb 25th having contractions. At the time I wasn't 100% sure if that is what I was feeling at about 11 I still wasn't a 100% sure and I just had to know so I went to the hospital to get checked out. When I got there I was only 2 cm and 70%. They told me to go walk around the hospital for an hour and come back. After that I was only 3cm and 70%. Well another walk around the hospital for an hour. After that walk I wasn't having any improvement so they gave me some pain meds and sent me home. It was about 8pm on the 25th. Got home sat in a bath for an hour and then laid down. After laying down for 20 minutes I was in tears and decided it was time to go back to the hospital. Got to the hospital they rechecked me and I was 4cm and 80% they asked if I wanted to walk for an hour and this time I told them no. My contractions were only 2-3 mins apart lasting about 90 secs. Well they finally admitted me and I was given an epidural within 30 minutes. This was a life savor by this time I had been awake for over 26 hours. I was able to fall asleep. at 10:30 they checked me again and my water had broke on its own (I couldn't even tell) I was told I was 8 cm and 100%. At 3:45 I was checked and finally was at 10 cm. The nurse wanted me to labor down for a little bit so I didn't start pushing until 3:15. I had my bundle of joy at 3:35. While pushing everyone in the room was singing songs from lion king and then talking about our nails. It was excellent. After having Ryker the nurse informed me that I was actually 10 cm when she checked me at 10:30. She saw in my birth plan that I wanted to labor down and was trying to wait until I felt like I needed to push. Also baby was sunny side up so I ended up having a 3rd degree ripe :(
once you get to 10 cm 100% you allow your body go keep contracting pushing the baby down, that way when you go to push you won't have to push as long. my nurse said if I would of started pushing when they first saw I was 10 cm it probably would of taken 2 hrs. by waiting it was 20 minutes and I only pushed 10 times to get him out. it was nice.
The end of your story sounds so nice. I had my lil guy on the 24th with an epidural but it was still soo painful i was in tears the whole time and wanted to almost give up:( you didn't push for long did you feel anything with ur epidural or were u completely numb?
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.
