Hey Ladies, I wanted to share my labor story with you. At my appointment on the 12th, i was told that I probably wouldn't last another week. I went walking around the mall 2 days in a row to try to get him out but all that did was make my feet hurt. No contractions or cramps, nothing. on valentines day I woke up and lost part of my mucous plug and was super nauseous to where I threw up. After walking that day I was ready for baby to be here! Around 6 that night I took some castor oil, that didn't seem to do anything either. Around 12ish that night I got my first contraction but none followed so I went to sleep. I woke up around 3 to go pee and was laying back down. At 3:44 I got this super weird feeling that felt like the baby was flopping around or something and realized that it was my water!! I called the midwife on call and told her and she told me to wait a few hours to go to the hospital since it was snowing and -1 outside. within an hour of my water breaking my contractions were about 3 minutes apart and about a minute long, is going to the hospital there was no way I could wait 4 hours! When I got there I was about 6cm dilated. I took some pain meds through the iv which made the in between so much more relaxing and the next couple hours a bit of a blur. At 11:35 I started pushing and at 1:05pm McKinley James McCreary was born weighing 7 pounds 8 ounces and 20.5 inches long. :) I'm so glad I went without having an epidural or a c section, I did it as natural as I could and I'm very happy with my birth experience!!
They took the edge off but I still felt them. The first dose lasted probably a couple hours, the second dose wasn't a lot so it didn't last as long. The first dose was nice though, if I want contracting so hard I could have slept in between lol @mmmirage
Congrats !! Did the pain meds thru the iv really help with the pain and for how long?
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.

yep, just the iv. I was terrified of getting the epidural so I tried other things before and it worked. Birthing ball helped too FYI. and thank you:) @paigesanchez14
