I do admit it's a little awkward, but Also natural. we produce milk for a reason. I'm really 50/50 on it. for those who can kuddos to them and the ones who can't no judgment there either. everyone is entitled to their opinion and how they chose to feed their babies!

Your body is your own is how I feel. When you work all day or whatever goes on during the day you have dirt and God knows what else on your body. I don't want want that in my poor babies mouth

lol yea it definitely awkward especially when there just staring at you but its natural but hey who are we to judge mom for either boob feeding or formula ...me i did both for 3 weeks with all my kids including my son

well idk about everyone else when i breast fed i always washed my boob before feeding them

if you're uncomfortable try pumping and giving milk that way. Best of both worlds

Before formula breast milk was practically the only source of nutrition for baby. How is it wrong?? I'm not against formula but I don't think moms who formula feed should judge breastfeeding moms and vice versa.

Sounds like you need to get a lot more info about breast feeding before you completely shut it down, maybe your unwillingness to open your mind about it is irritating your friends but at the end of the day it's what you choose to do. Nobody else

It's your choice on how you want to feed your baby. It's your body and your baby. Yes there are benefits to breastfeeding but you won't be harming your baby if you chose to use formula instead. Do what your comfortable with and don't let anyone tell you your wrong!

@babygirl10-11, pumping is a no for sure. I've opted to receive shots to stop the lactation once I deliver

They shouldn't get upset with you, it's your choice. It's your life, your baby, & your body. But I am a breastfeeding mother who loves it personally! My body was made to give my baby the nutrients she needs to grow & be healthy. I have nothing against formula but I am wayyyy more comfortable giving her something from a natural source rather than something that's man made with different chemicals & etc. I've read too many horror stories about formula & etc. just do your complete research before you completely x - out breastfeeding & do your research on formula as well ! Breast feeding isn't for everybody, that's for sure!

I think not approving is the wrong words. Maybe you should say its not for you. Breastfeeding is natural and is very healthy for your baby. Helps build Thier immune system and helps bond with your baby. With formula your baby will have tons of gas and spit up. Both things have pros and cons!

I agree with what @krb0911 said... don't use the word approve... I am team formula myself.. more power to the ones that breastfeed but I wouldn't do it... as far as you think its insanitary is a bit overboard... they can say bottles && plastic wear is unsanitary. all the chemicals and stuff.. but like I said I am formula feeding. breastfeeding isn't for everyone
