Why? Ice doesn't really keep my hydrated... I'm thirsty all the time, and I'm sure labor would just make it allot worse.. when my month dry's out, I can't breathe right, and I have panic attacks.. .-. @brandi_22 @steph__x0x0
I know it sucks they do it just incase you have to have an emergency csection you can't have food in your belly also the iv makes some people sick so they puke idk stuff like that I know it's so stupid but I just sucked on ice chips and when no nurses were in the room my mom still let me have some water lol
My doctor allowed me to drink water the whole time. In between pushes my bf would put a cup of water with a bendy straw up to my mouth and I'd drink in between pushes.
Hmm... Maybe another reason is because of having to pee? I'm sure if you're in labor, You're not gonna want to get up to go to the bathroom to pee. Idunno.. I'll probably pee on myself whether I drink water or not. lol my bladder is bad. @steph__x0x0 @chhaya @brandi_22
I got the epidural so I had a catheter but they let me chug water even before they knew I was getting the epidural. Idk lol @steph__x0x0 @rachelmariecroxton
With everything else that comes out of your body pee won't phase you at all lol.
@rachelmariecroxton, I'm pretty sure yes cause you can't really walk lol you can always ask your doc at an appointment though. I got my epidural and then the catheter & I didn't feel the catheter at all.

If you get the epidural, do you have to get a catheter? I really don't want one... I'd honestly rather pee myself. @chhaya
