Does everyone boil their baby bottles?

My mom was giving me a ton of crap for this... In the beginning I did boil them, but it literally took me an hour from time of wash, boil, & dry & put away that I Google'd it and asked everyone I know who had babies, if they did. everyone I asked, said no. Google said it wasn't necessary, it was more of a "to be on the safe side" type thing.. so I stopped doing it and I just made sure I washed them very throughly.. However when I switched my son to straight formula, I can't get that formula odor out of the nipples unless I boil them.. so I do still boil his nipples, but it isn't that big of a hassle to do that.

But when you first buy the bottles, yes, boil them.

@amberlee_94 oo when I 1st bought them I dish washed... but I was hand washing &- my mom was looking at me like I was crazy

Yeah my mom gave me crap about it.. she said you have to boil them everytime.. but she also never heard of mixing formula & breastmilk in bottles to ween your baby off the booby & onto formula.. which I was told to do by his pediatrician.. so I took that as a "maybe you don't know everything..." sign.. lol 😁 but I mean just as long as they are getting washed in HOT water, & lots of soap and getting cleaned good, and are completely dry before storing, you will be all good. I haven't had any issues.

I boiled them when I first got them but now I just wash them with hot water & soap

Yea I boiled my son's bottles before I used them...I mostly boiled his nipples and I boiled his bottles once a week. Everyday is very time consuming. @sexii_diiva

i used to boil her bottle but only cuz thats how my mama taught me now im lazy and just soak em in hot water for a few min .... i made myself mad for boiling her bottle her stupid plytex air vent bottle peices cuz now it leaks 😠

@babygirl10-11 that's what I was working bout destroying the bottle lol . you know now of days they fine cheaper ways to make stuff

yes they do and i sure did mess it up cuz it leaks at the bottom first off i dont know why theu would put holes on the bottom of a bottle anyways

I don't boil mine, just soak them every day for a few minutes then wash them

@sexii_diiva, at least after you wash them put them in the dish washer boiling them is to kill the bacteria. I boil them every time at the end of the night it makes it easier.

if I dish wash them then I'm not gonna hand wash lol... but I was thinking weekly dish wash was fine but I'm gonna Google is it recommended 1st @jadasmommy93
