He should feel like a jerk! It's not nice that he couldn't take the time to buy you something nice/thoughtful for tomorrow yet he could spend a big chunk of cash on himself 😔

I didn't get anything for Christmas or Valentine's day. My guy can be sweet but not so thoughtful. He's never even gotten me a card & wrote something sweet before. He's gotten me flowers once & it's because I told him I wanted flowers for my birthday! ugh, guys suck so hard. I'm sorry mama

@felicia85, I'm pretty used to it too by now. this is our 4th valentine's day. last year I got flowers, a stuffed animal and a tiny box of chocolates that HE ate then I spent the night in the hospital cause my 10 week old daughter almost died and he chose to go play baseball instead of staying at the hospital with me. and didn't even come to make sure she was ok. I expected a little more this year.

@mmora yeah, I know. Like my daughter has been getting horrible burns and rashes from her diapers so I ordered 10 cloth ones off wish for $25 and he yelled at me for it cause it was a "waste". I seriously miss having a job and making my own money. that's why I make tutus and bows and sell rompers and whatnot. so I can have my own cash.

I'm just waiting to see if he will even remember it's Valentine's day. my bet is if I don't say something first he won't even know what today is

I've gotten one gift ever for christmas and that was a pair of pajamas (footed pajamas and I was there when he bought them! ) never has bought me a birthday gift but I surprise him every year (last year we went to his favorite baseball teams games for 2 days and it cost me close to $1,000 and we sat right up front!), never gotten anything for Easter, he got me a promise ring my mom paid for for our 3 year anniversary, and the things I listed above for valentine's day. I literally spoil him so much and I just get shit on. I'm so done trying.

last year for mothers day he got me a card that says "for my mother" and it was from my daughter.... and he didn't even sign it

@emilyyy96___, I would have stopped trying a long time ago! Guys are so selfish & don't understand that THEY are suppose to spoil their women..not the other way around. Yes, women should do it for special occasions but they are too & those little "just because moments" I swear I see every other girl on Facebook & ig posting pictures of expensive watches, flowers, purses, & other things for no reason whatsoever but I can't even get my man to take me out to ihop for a date night without hinting to him I want a date night for weeks!

But you shouldn't try so hard when he doesn't do anything for you. That's not fair

@iloveyou, even if I hinted I can't get him to do anything. and he's like the weirdest person... he doesn't like homemade gifts! like cards and whatnot. it drives me nuts. but yeah they are very selfish. those girls make me so jealous. my friend send me a picture of her new watch and a picture of the view and set up of the nighttime picnic he planned for her. like wtf why is it 1 in a million. we are mommy's and we deserve the absolute best. why is that so hard for them to see :(

We carry their children for 9 months our bodies get ruined, we go through so much pain & discomfort to deliver such a beautiful human being but we can't get any kinda special treatment on days like Valentine's day, Christmas, or even our birthdays?! It's insane & then even when we talk it out they wanna use the excuse that we are just being "emotional" that was my boyfriends favorite line to use on me when I tried to talk things out with him. Heck he still uses it because my hormones were balancing out & now my new birth control is messing them up so he's still using it.

& your boyfriend is weird..hand made gifts are the best. It means someone took the time & effort to make you something special that you can cherish forever.

He should be treating you like a queen. Men think just because they work that, that's all they have to do. They helped us make the baby, they should do their part & should help clean but of course they don't. Sorry for my rant just hard to find someone to relate too.

Ugh girl... My own husband scared of commitment and leaves for me weeks at a time yet talks abt another marriage. Sonetimes I wonder... Why do we put up with it!!!

He def is another story. He has a child with someone else !? How can u leave him if he marries u! That's a huge commitment and hard to get out of. Long process ! Ugh he needs to face his fears and just do it but he also needs to treat u like a wife. It's not abt spoiling. Just loving u with tiny gestures and gifts
