do hiccups count as fetal movement? I'm 34w4d and don't really do the count the kicks thing because she's always squirmin around 24/7. but today I haven't felt her at all except the hiccups this mornin and around 3. I've read they don't count but I know she's still alive and everything but also read that an immediate change in activity could be concerning. coke, juice, chocolate, sweets all that I've tried and nothin. the nurse I talked to at l&d said to eat a meal and lay on my left side and if I don't feel at least 5 movements within an hour to come up there and shell monitor me. now Its just the waitin game I guess.

No hiccups don't count

No, they are involuntary since baby doesn't control when they get the hiccups. only kicks, punches, and rolls count.
