I need a bit of advice. One of my best friends keeps referring to my son as her baby. And I don't think she means anything by it but it still really bothers me. She has a son who is a great kid, but I just don't personally agree with most of her choices because they are affecting him so negatively, plus we also don't really talk that often anymore cause of her choices. So that kind of adds to making me uncomfortable when she calls my son "her baby". I wouldn't feel comfortable with anyone calling him that but she's the only one doing it. I'd never call someone else's child "my baby", no matter how close we were. How can I tell her I don't like her calling him that without sounding mean? It's just he's my son, who I have been trying for for years and it feels like she's trying to take this joy away from me.
tell her how you feel... if she still your friend shell understand and if she get mad and yells so what... this is your moment of joy. if she feel different go tell it's time for another bundle for her
@firefly, @firstbaby_girl I think I will. I guess I have to remember that if she gets mad about it and stops talking to me that she's not a true friend.
Maybe try bringing it up as if someone else did it and be like 'ya know what really gets on my nerves? Lately so and so has been referring to my baby as theirs and it's just really annoying and frustrating because he's mine and ie tried so hard for so long to have him and it just takes my joy away ya know?' Something like that. If you want to be discreet. If you want to be upfront just tell her hey I don't mean to upset you or anything but could you please not call my baby yours anymore?
I'd try to casually ask how come you call him that. and kinda go from there
just tell her hey I don't like it when you do that can you please stop
@starmommie, I'm trying to ignore it but she shared pictures of him saying "welcoming my new baby"
I just don't get why people try to put a claim on other people's kids.
same situation. I have a friend that calling my baby her godson when I didn't even make the choice for that. she barely around and she have kids of her on. only thing I do is ignore it and say okay.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
my baby daddy's ex wife works at the hospital I'm having my daughter she is just a cleaning lady she tell me they let her move the babies around I'm scared this women will take my baby she even tells me if I have my baby early she could see her ever day .. my doctor only delivers at this hospital I don't know what to do . this is why I don't want to have my baby early ..
Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
What would you do? - baby shower
SO my mom has been very negative about the baby my entire pregnancy. Especially in the beginning, she said the most HORRIBLE things about me, my DH and my unborn baby. Like that I was making a big mistake, that I was making her 2015 the worst year ever... etc etc. Even when she would do nice things she made me feel like I was a HUGE inconvenience and a burden to her. She told me to definitely NOT expect a shower or anything like that from her. Fine, whatever...
Will your Mom be in the delivery room?
My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.
very true. this is your baby and you shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable around someone with your baby. I do find it odd that she's sharing pictures with that headline. @lizzilarson
