So all during labor Matthew started pretty high up, then I was ready (10 cm, water broken, effaced) but he was still high up. They said I could start pushing but I could be pushing for hours, since a lot of the early pushes would be just to get him lower. Or I could wait for him to drop more on his own. I had the epidural but I had a hot spot, where there was one area that I could still feel everything. I was planning on waiting for him to drop more on his own cause that got spot hurt so bad when I tried to push, plus I was really weak and tired so I knew I couldn't push for hours at that point. But finally I decided I would try pushing, mainly for the fact that I would be on my back since being on my sides hurt the hot spot more. Well low and behold after about 3-4 good pushes he was fully down and staying to crown, about 4-5 more good pushes and he was out. My labor itself was painful and agonizing for me, but I was lucky that the delivery itself was actually quite quick. I'm so glad the nurse got me to push, otherwise I could have been in labor for extra hours.

@soontobemommy, I waited so long to get the epidural that they didn't have much time to give me anything else, unfortunately. Learned my lesson for if there's a next time. Lol.

I had a hot spot too, it sucked! But luckily they have me more medicine to where I couldn't feel it anymore. @lizzilarson
