24 hours is reasonable. Im sure after a c section that 24 hours of rest is much needed

yea the first 24 hours you'll be need bound but after that they'll want you moving around

that shouldn't be a problem. after the epidural wore off which was quicker than it does for most i guess i was walking up and down the halls of the maternity ward. the nurses were panicking and telling me to lay down and offering me wheel chairs. i was like. nope. need to move. haha

no problem mama... if you have one you'll be just fine just remember to keep moving dint just be stiff.

no ma'am I've had two and ill be having my third in May abd my last I breastfed right after I had him abd I plan to breastfeed this time too..now you will be very sore and have a hard time moving but for Mr within a few days I was getting around pretty good.

that was my biggest worry

I've had 2 and will have one with this one. While they're no fun it does not impact breastfeeding.

yeah, I think I'm more scared since this is a subsequent pregnancy. I was pregnant with this one when my first was 4 months old. lol

I've had four kids. I was cut with my first and tore with my second. My last two I didn't tear at all. It will still stretch. I understand how a tramatic birth experience can leave you scared. My first baby was a horrible labor. I had good experiences with my other three though.

On a good note, She is doing great now. It was a rough start though

Sorry to hear you had that experience. I went through 15 hours of labor, they put me on too much pictocin, she was stuck in my birth canal for almost 3 hours before the doctor had the bright idea to give me an episiotomy. She had shoulder distocia from being stuck for so long, wasn't breathing when she came out.. took her 10 min to score on the apgar. the cephalohematoma she got from being stuck so long landed me in the hospital the day after release because she developed life threatening jaundice levels. I understand from the opposite side. Natural was rough on me and my baby

Sorry if that was a downer I just wanted to share my story for wanting one so bad n now wishing I didn't lol. But on the bright side I have no scar... 😃 they did great

C section for me was tough I thought I wanted one bc I was scared to push but I'm sure id push any day after doing that. I could move. My bf had to pick me up to take me to the bathroom which was a 30 min thing bc your in so much pain. Granted the percacets they gave me I had an awful allergic reaction so I took no pain meds. Bc they tried morphine which also gave me an awful reaction so I had no pain meds. There was nothing that was working so with meds it is prob more bare able but I have a high pain tolerance n that was awful. Recovery was pretty bad... But overall a c section is fast and you will have your baby out in a set time unlike pushing where it can be hours..
