Ok thank you, I have been watching her. the doctors told me it's flu season and rsv season so she could very well have one of them but today is day 1 of any symptom so they want us to wait but if the fever continues tomorrow without dropping they want to see her.
104 can cause seizures so just watch her close. Tylenol never worked alone for my kids but the Motrin and Tylenol alternated worked great. A little fever is ok because it helps the body fight off infection but you really want to get it down when it starts going over 101
Her natural temp is 98.9 to 99.2 according to my thermometer and using the same thermometer it's 102.5 so that's why I'm concerned. I worry about everything :/
She's been sleeping all day, her cheeks are very red, I've been pushing fluids as much as possible. she has a runny nose and her voice is kind of scratchy but she has bad tonsils anyway, she goes to the specialist monday. but the fever just spiked to this today and she's had bad tonsils for months
it depends on the natural t employees of your child. my son's natural temp is 100 above 104 and I'm concerned.
Try alternating the Motrin and Tylenol. Tyjenol given every four hours and Motrin every 6 hours. If that doesnt bring it down I would take her in to the doctor.
104 is too high, anything under that she should be fine as long as she is acting normal and eating and whatnot
@junebaby, my 2 year old has had a temperature all day even with medication of 102.5 or higher. right now it's the lowest it's been all day at 102.5.
your welcome and I know its scary when your baby is sick. Flu and RSV seem pretty bad right now. I hope she feels better.
