does anyone know if I should take something for cold since I breastfeed. .

Everything that goes in your body, goes in their body because you breast feed. So the ''virus'', if you can even really call a cold that, goes to them as well. If you take something, you should take something that is alcohol free. Like kids tylenol cold and flu, just double the dose, and

you should be fine.

Sudafed and Tylenol cold are both fine.

I'm not really a medicine. lover just trying not to. .contagious my babies. .

Ask your pediatrician though just to be sure but it was ok when I breastfed my kids.

Actually the virus or cold DOESNT get transferred to your baby, the antibodies that your immune system creates gets transferred. So having a cold and breastfeeding is actually great for your baby because it give them antibodies without them needing to have the cold.

@californiahaley, that's right. my doctor told me to keep breastfeeding even when I'm sick because of the antibodies. my babies never got sick from men

@rachelmariecroxton, all food, and drinks turn into milk. But by viruses I've had a cold a few times since tan was born and he's never gotten sick the virus doesn't get passed but any kind of antibodies you create get passed so if you have a cold and you fight it off, you've passed antibodies to your baby. So if the virus is sill floating around the house like your husband got it. Your baby is less likely to get sick.

@junebaby, Tannon hasn't ever been sick either. In rarely sick, I have a great immune system, my husband doesn't though. He's always sick. But me and tan hardly ever he it
