sooo i have my 6 week pp appointment soon....i have never been on birth control nor do i know anything about the different kinds of birth control....can yall help me out?
lol if it makes u feel better i know a few girls that have had it for a few years now and havent had a problem with it you just have to do ur research and make sure whoever is doing it you trust and knows what they are doing @juliagail09 thats what the people ive talked to about the IUD have told us @juliagail09
@mrscalderon, I hate condoms, but I'm not squashing another one out, not yet anyway. :P
I've heard a lot of stories about Depo and the bleeding continuously. when I was on it tho I can't remember if I had a period ever month. i'm pretty sure I did, no longer than an average period tho 5days. but more often than not I hear girls bleed for months at a time. i got my shot and the birth control lasted 3months. I think they have an every month one an a every 3 month one
@seleneromanortiz12, li thought about an iud but then i hear about it getting lost or stuck something like that then i was like uhhh idk ha i guess its all scary ill be screwed either way lol
i know what you mean and i agree with you trust me i dont want that either..as soon as i can im getting back on birth control and will more than likely stick with the pill or get the IUD @juliagail09
@californiahaley, i will talk to her for sure...thank you for your help! :)
@rachelmariecroxton, your idea sounds the best to me 😂 I never been on birth control and never wanted too because I don't want my body to get messed up for when I want more kids 😱
@rachelmariecroxton, the last thing i need is to get even more fat then i already am.... ugh i dont wanna gain weight either :/
@mmora, yes it did thank you very much &&thank; you to @californiahaley @seleneromanortiz12 @kismet_carri @rachelmariecroxton as well! :)
@juliagail09, talk to your dr at your 6 week appointment. Tell him you've never had BC and don't know anything and want to know every single thing about all your options.
@californiahaley, oh okay. I'm terrified to get the implant so I think the depo shot is the best option for me lol
Honestly, I don't like birth control. I have had plenty of options to get on it, my mom even tried to take me and I refused to go. Birth control makes you're body think it's pregnant, with a period. It fucks with the hormones in your body, and tells your body You're already pregnant, so you can't get pregnant. That's why you gain weight with most of them. because your body is preparing for your growing baby. I'm just going to stick with condoms.
ok. i was kind of more leaning towards that but then idk cause idk nada about birth control...i just know i dont want a baby in 10 months....but i do want one again sometime. ha i just dont want to get one where ill bleed forever or it will mess things up... @seleneromanortiz12
if you can remember to have the pills with you at all time and maybe set an alarm to help you remember then id suggest going with that my doctor said its the safest thing to go for if u havent been on birth control @juliagail09
@juliagail09, if you're not nursing then you can get anything. @mrscalderon yes depo shit works to. The nexplanon is a 3 year implant that goes into your arm. Putting it in takes 5 minutes so does taking it out. You can have minor spotting or no periods. And nexplanon along with nursing periods are very uncommon. I still haven't gotten mine an haven't had any spotting. My cousin was on depo but she would have no period for 2 months then the 3rd month she's bleed all month. I didn't want that.
i was thinking about getting the pill but my memory is so bad now i cant even remember to feed my fish lol idk if i can remember to take a pill... although i might be able too cause im not ready for labor again ha @seleneromanortiz12
You have a few choices. The pill, which is taken daily. The cons are It can be affected by other prescriptions, it usually takes over a month of taking it to be fully protected, and sometimes it's hard to remember to take it at the same time every day. Not to mention you have to remember to pick it up on time from the pharmacy every month. Then there's the shot, which is given every few months. Not sure what the cons are for this one but I know people like it cause you don't have to worry about taking a pill every day. And then there are IUDs which is put in by your doctor near your uterus. Once it's in you are protected for 3 or 5 years depending on which one you get. If you wanna have more kids you can get it taken out at any time and can then try for more kids.
I've been on this pill nd the shot. i was very forgetful with the pill nd the shot (depo) made me fat. after i have my son I'm going to try the little flexi rod they stick in your arm. i hear it last 5 yrs.
only birth control ive ever been on was the pill and i wouldnt recommend it if you are the forgetful one lol but i will say even though i forgot to take it a couple of times at the same time every day i didnt get pregnant while on the pill but maybe thats just me lol ive heard a lot of good things about the IUD and the depo shot.
@rachelmariecroxton, yeah i am not wanting to get one of those cause i heard they get lost or stuck or cause problems...im just scared to get on a birth control that will like mess everything up to where i cant have no more babies :/
@californiahaley, is the depo shot good to get if you're nursing? what's nexplanon?
i was breast feeding but i stopped a little over a week ago @californiahaley
I've never been on it, but do not get any that go inside of you.
hopefully some girls will help us out lol @mrscalderon
If you're nursing your options are limited. IUD. nexplanon (which I have and LOVE) or the mini pill, that one you have to take everyday and the SAME time everyday within 20 minutes or it's not effective.
i've never been on it either so I'd like to see the answer to this 😜
I been off my birth control pills since April this year
I have PCOS & I don't get why I have to take birth control & metformin at the same time? isn't birth control supposed to stop you from ovulating & metformin is supposed to help you ovulate? This is so frustrating. I just want to be able to get pregnant..
did anyone NOT go on birth control after having their baby? I don't plan on having another for at least a year, but I really dislike birth control and I know most doctors push for it?
Any moms with the iud birth control?
I have some questions.
All mommas on birth control! what birth control are you using , I don't know what to choose after the baby is born. I've never really been on birth control. I definitely don't want anything that can cause complications, weight gain and mood swings! thanks in advance!!
@rachelmariecroxton, I agree lol. 😂
