they numb you before they give you the spinal block my first csection I'll admit was scary because it was an emergency an they needed to get my son out fast but my scheduled csection with my last son was OK I already knew what to expect you'll be good
@beeziebee1318, I like to think I take pain pretty well but I'm just not looking forward to being stuck in the back. it's just scary I guess. I'm fine with the fact of being cut open and everything it's just that spinal tap that's getting to me.
I've had two csections and I didn't use pain meds I went home taking children's motrin liquid everyone is different my cuzn acted like she was during after her csection...lol first one I got a spinal block and a epidural it was emergency csection and my second one was a planned csection
@liinababess_, yeah I'm scared of feeling that way even with stitches. I was so disappointed when I got told that I had to have a csection cause I was really looking forward to finally be able to sleep on my stomach.
I don't think I got a spinal tap. If I did I don't remember it. Oh okay I wish I would've gotten stitches cause with the staples I felt like I couldn't really lay flat cause it felt like I would rip my skin cause I would pull the staples.
@liinababess_, my main concern is when I get there having to get the spinal tap.. I'm nervous about that. but I will be getting stitches according to my doctor and not staples.
My wasn't bad. I had to be out to sleep. When I woke up they didn't let me eat it drink nothing but ice. As the anesthesia wore off I started to feel the pain but they give me a thing that I press and would release morphine thru my iv. I couldn't get out of bed for the rest of the day. The real pain happened the next day when I had to get up for the bath room. I got staples idk if that's a different pain than stitches. I was in pain for about a week but after that til now I only get pain when I move to fast or if I move a certain way.
