Serious Rant!!!
WHY do some people think it's okay to say/ask the things that they do when my pregnancy comes up?! Someone I've seen several times since I've been showing just noticed my belly today. After congratulating me and asking the basic "Is this your first?" "Do you know what you're having?" questions, she says "Please tell me you're married." 😐 really?
Me: "Engaged."
Her: "When are you going to get married? Hopefully soooon...?"
Like WTF is that?! Is this real life?! When is it ever okay to ask anyone this question, much less in that context?! I'm sorry I'm not rolling in money and put the budgeting for our baby before my wedding. Key word, WEDDING. I'm not willing to sacrifice having an actual wedding with a white dress and tuxes and guests and the whole deal and do a courthouse ceremony just to be "married" and satisfy society's order of doing things. We were engaged before I even knew I was pregnant and no we didn't plan our baby but she's cooking away anyways and we love her and our money is going towards a child right now! The wedding budgeting will just have to wait a beat. So quit judging us, keep your stupid opinion about it to yourself, get some TACT and CLASS and quit asking me such rude, invasive questions!! #endrant

My boyfriend and I have been getting the same kind of reactions ... Neither of our families are pushing us to get married until we're ready but complete strangers sure are !! 😤😤😤

@hayleymarie, exactly! Our families are so excited and not being pushy about that at all despite his Christian upbringing. Even when we went to his church on NYE I don't think we once got a wedding question. But leave it to perfect strangers to be all up in my business!!! And it's mostly clients at work so I can't even shut these crazies down!!! 😠😤

& I agree with you our daughter wasn't planned and yes we plan to get married but We will have the wedding we want not some shotgun court room wedding ! And our daughter will be the most beautiful little flower girl ever 😍😍#sorrynotsorry ☺️☺️

I'm in the same exact boat ,word for word . it doesn't bother me anymore cuz I'm like it doesn't matter , I will be 22 delivering &we;'re engaged to be married so oh well . plus I want my twins in my wedding.

@twinsmommy, it's not that it necessarily bothers me, I mean it kinda does cuz I'm such a private person, but just the fact that people have the nerve hall and audacity to let a question like that leave their lips and think it's okay...like what planet are you on? You don't even know me. I just now decided I'm not answering stuff like that anymore, clients can get butt hurt and complain if they want but I work for a good place and they'll have my back as long as I'm not rude back.
