Sooooo my boobs are extra soft. am I running outta milk or is this normal?

That's what my son does and I have a huge over supply.

More likely he had enough and he was comfort nursing to help fall asleep.

I wasn't hearing him swallow and drink like normal that's why I was worried maybe he not getting anything. @californiahaley

I read that when your body gets on a schedule for baby your boobs will feel soft its normal your not running out of milk.

If you still have milk and your baby doesn't seem fussy and hungry after nursing you're fine. Pumping when you already have enough milk is how you end up with an over supply and that is miserable.

I do that... I squeeze my areola/nipple area and milk does come out I just thought that because they are so soft maybe I'm running outta milk and I was gonna pump to make more milk but I figured I would ask you guys first before I take that step @californiahaley

Try hand expressing just to see if milks there. If so then there's a good chance your body just knows when feeding time is. Your breast don't really get hard unless you're engorged and you don't want that cause engorment signals to your body it's producing too much and slows down or stops production

i always thought since i had big boobs that they wouldnt get hard cuz i had plenty of room to store the milk lol

when i was breastfeeding my boobs were full of milk but never got hard ... they were always soft

I haven't been drinking anything but water. I have a big 64oz jug I drink out of I'm on the 3rd one for today Lol @mommybump3

oh :-/ i couldnt give you an answer im sorry.. my guess is that your body is now on a schedule now so your boobs will fill when needed. try drinking lots of water:)
