So my boyfriends mom has my baby shower planned for feb 8th. There is a very very good chance I won't even be pregnant anymore then. If I am still pregnant, I'll still be in the hospital and on bed rest, if I'm not, my daughter will be in the nicu and I could still be here depending on what happens with my body after I give birth. My boyfriends mom is wanting to have my baby shower without me there, have someone else open my presents and everything and have me make an appearance by Skype then after they have my baby shower, she wants to bring me a piece of cake and all my presents. Anyone have any suggestions on how I should tell her Id really rather her reschedule the baby shower and just have a meet the baby shower instead? I really appreciate her throwing me a baby shower, but it's no fun if I can't even be there or open my gifts or anything and if I am out of the hospital and my daughter is in the nicu, I'm not going to want to be at my baby shower, I'm going to want to be with my daughter

Wth that's so wrong. You need to tell her that you really want to be there. It's special to you and u don't want anyone else opening ur things. U want to have this experience not see it through Skype. It's YOUR BABYSHOWER even if she's throwing it, it's for you and her son. It's not fair. Speak up Hun seriously ! GoodLuck 😘

@dannettx3, I tried but she's still completely convinced this baby and I are going to make it to 36 weeks pregnant even after doctors told her it could be any day and probably not past 34 weeks. I told her I'd want to be at my baby shower but I don't think she can handle things that don't go according to plan..so it's really difficult to get her to understand or listen. Idk what else to do

Pretend like your just gonna do your own baby shower and tell her it's ok ima just plan one for my self & then you could still have yours ... She's not gonna wanna do it if your saying your just gonna plan yours cuz people aren't going to go to 2 baby showers lol so she's gonna have no choice but to do it before the set date !
