So I've read that giving birth is actually harder and less natural if you're laying on your back w your feet in the stirrups, And that its much easier to give birth squatting or on all fours n whatnot.. but to me that would be kinda embarrassing to be all squatting or on all fours in the delivery room instead of the typical laying on my back haha
what do you guys think??

can we request what position we want to be in? I def don't want to be on my back
The supine position (on your back) also decreases the area of your pelvic outlet by 30%. Some women prefer to give birth on their back or laying on their side....however in hospitals it's done for the convenience of the care provider. It's not for the women. If you have an epidural it really doesn't matter...but there was no way on gods green earth I was laying on my back while in labor. It was more painful and I couldn't push effectively. My last 2 babies were born in the water while I was squatting.
thank you @jstrong12712 that is a good pic lol
I think when you're in the moment it won't matter what you look like as long as its more comfortable and easier. I hear it helps the pain too
well I didn't even know I was in labor and by the time I got to the bed I couldn't get in the bed so I said somebody better catch this baby because I can't move
thats what I'm talkin bout.. lol I'm tryinna have this baby as painless n calm as possible. haha
my first baby I held on to this bar thing they had and delivered him sitting on the side of the bed squatting kinda I had him in two pushes easiest labor out of the three
