Does anybody besides me NOT believe that lotion prevents stretch marks? A lot of people swear by it but I really believe some people just get them others don't... I use lotion daily but because I have very dry skin . I am.fortunate to not have stretch marks but I really don't think it's the lotion!! what you guys think?
Nothing has been proven to prevent stretch marks. Of course moisture helps, but stretch marks are genetic.
😂😂 I do my shoulders because the lotion smells nice and I know my man will smell it when we cuddle 😂😂 luckily my skin doesn't itch so I'm good. It's winter my body is always covered anyway so I do the bare minimum. 😂😂
@wondermom exactly!! luck lol @alhynele 😂😂😂😂 shoulders really!
@indifferent that's hard to argue too because this is your 2nd baby.. you get bigger faster with your 2nd child usually... just like @babygirl10-11 said 1st baby nothing 2nd baby she has marks
I don't use any lotion and I have none. I'm always to lazy to lotion anywhere below my shoulders lol.
Not getting stretch marks is just a matter of luck, sadly!!! 😩 lol cuz my ass stays moisturize 24/7 and i drink alot of water and i still got em -_- .
I think its more of how fast u gain weight... My previous baby i gained weight slowly ate right walked everyday til i popped ... No stretch marks... Jus left my dr last week n was told im over my weight limit already... This time i work but i eat ALOT of mcdonalds taco bell sonics really anything fast food... N only 34 weeks n ive reached my weight limit n couple days ago discovered 3 stretch marks... So it cant be lotion cuz i never used it the first time but used it this time n got em.. It gotta be how quickly u gain weight.. Skin stretches too far u get marks
@mommy3rmz exactly... some are luckier then others!!!!
Lots of moisture helps prevent stretch marks but it hasn't to be the right moisture
🙌 right here i have seen family members all lotioned up to the point they look greasy n still got strech marks n then theres me who i have a few but after 3 kids i would have imagine alot but nope only got a few on my lower back and they arnt dark n i dont put lotion like crazy i just put the usual moistrizer :)
I don't use lotion I use body butter. and I love it. thick organic body butter helps the itching for me.
@jellybeansmommie yea.. plus my stomach Itchy so I use lotion but shyt.. I scratch too lol smh.. still don't have any @lopez.22 yea people spend a lot of money && be disappointed when they see marks 😑😑 @babygirl10-11 that's what I think gonna happen to me.. I'm lucky this baby but next baby I may not be so lucky
staying hydrated, gaining weight properly, and taking vitamins can help. it's mainly genetics though
i dont think it matters i didnt use any for my fist baby didnt get any but my second baby i stayed rubbing cream on and i got hekka
im with yall girls i dont even put mine on for the same reason everyone is different my cousin told me she would use them since she found out and she has a bunch lol its a waste it just makes my stomach all dam oily lol
I only have 2 and I honestly believe it's in your genes.. but I also think scratching makes them waaaay worse.
@aicnov14 I heard about that.. It can be genetics!!! but I agree I think some lotions will help lighten it but not keep them away
I think it can help maybe make them not as bad, but alot has to do with genetics I think that's the main thing
I don't really think the lotions work! I used them my whole pregnancy and still got stretch marks which I'm okay with
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
I really wish I could have stretch marks 😭😭😏
I'm only 12 weeks and just noticed I'm starting to get stretch marks on my boobs :( what lotions and potions do you all use I'm thinking of getting the Palmers cocoa butter one coz I love cocoa butter. Can't believe it though... stretch marks already :'(
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Best lotions to prevent stretch marks?
@alhynele girl yes... you are lucky I've bad real bad dry skin since I was a kid.. no lotion means hives all over lol @delilahsmommy2015 yea my mom had them too.. I don't.. so I don't believe the genetics accusation either!!! but to each is own! @abbymattingly14
