so i had to go to formula i breast feed for about 2weeks but i still was only producing about 1oz or so every 3 hours i tried to pump every hour to boost supply but nothing would come out and she wasnt happy with it and always wanted more. she will be a month old the 20th and shes eating 4oz every 2hrs.

@pypersmommy, that's what happened to me and my baby and in the exact time frame to.... but at least she got some breast milk, at least u tried

I understand that. You don't want to mess her up. I'm sorry you couldn't breastfeed for as long as you wanted to. But she's eating and happy so that's all that matters. :)

thank you @californiahaley . i tried that but its like i just dried up. and i tried to suppliment but it was messing with her digestive system doing both. im like you im all about breastmilk and wanted to beeastfeed for at least a yr. but doctor reconended doing formula only since it was messing with her stomach to do both. 😞

To increase supply you pump for 5-10 minutes AFTER the milk had stopped that's how you signal your body to make more, creating a demand for more then what's there. I'm not saying dont use formula. I'm just the person that thinks any breastmilk is better then none at all and then to give formula where it's needed.
