I am unhappy with my MiL. I know it is unreasonable right now. She was trying to help and let me get some sleep. Still. She didn't come wake me soon enough and now I have a screaming overly hungry newborn Wren that won't latch properly.... ugh.
I mean it hurts when I get him latched but once he's on it just feels like a little tug its just the initial latch on that hurts after that were smooth sailing @kate0329 but I was just gonna make an appointment with the lactation consultant at my hospital see of she can give me any tips
mine were rly sore after the cracking healed its taken about 2-3 weeks but now their to the point Where it hurts but its bearable if it dnt get better id tlk to my Dr if i were u @january10th
@kate0329 okay I mean I remember them being sore with my second baby but this is like a lot it hurts pretty bad I'm scared to even feed him, I still feed him before he gets to hungry but i have this fear of when he starts nursing it hurts so bad so I'm trying to find a fix I have a feeling I'm doing something right because they were cracked they're better now just really really sore when he nurses
@kate0329, pumping is slow going right now. I have to go find a proper sized guard thingy because it isn't expressing the milk right (plus being painful). I have about an ounce and a half in the fridge right now. Also I was advised to avoid introducing bottles as much as possible for the first 4 weeks of life. 😐
Yeah. I think it's making the adjustment to the latch, since the consultant I talked to said her latch was good and it doesn't hurt the whole time. I've escaped cracked nipples so far, thankfully. @january10th
:'( that is the worst, I'm sorry you have to go thru that.. you probably aren't in the mood to answer questions but are your nipples sore? mine are & I just don't know what I'm doing wrong I've been looking stuff up online about sore nipples & it says that if your nipples are sore something isn't right I had cracked nipples but that is long gone now it just hurts for like the first minute or 30 seconds. do you have this problem?
