Having those "I'm a horrible mommy" feels today. I can't break the habit. She will scream, and scream until someone holds her. I'll try to put her down for sleep, and she'll scream, nothing will be wrong, she just wants to be held, even after I've held her all day. Once I pick her up, she'll go to sleep.....ugh.....advice?

Swaddling! You mean, where you wrap them in the blanket, right? I am lucky if I can get a blanket around her (she kicks it off before I can even start to wrap her up). @tattooedwho

I have six children, this baby is my seventh! U never proclaim to know it all!!! however what worked for us was to let the child cry it out in order to break the habit. My son was the same way when he was first born. He screamed and screamed and screamed until finally he was covered in sweat and exhausted from screaming! Obviously we made sure he wasn't hungry, wet, or in any pain! We stayed next to him and talked/sang to him, and checked on him periodically if we left the room. He cried for 5 hours!! He slept really well and never cried again to be held. True story! Praying for you and baby! 😘😘

I'm sure it's hard to listen to your child screaming but if you can... If they are fed, changed and nothing is wrong just let them cry... Maybe try it once. You can get one of those bean bag things you can heat up, swaddle, leave something that smells like you behind for them... Your not hurting them by letting them cry. It's probably harder for you than it is for them! Good luck... I hope something gives!

I took a psychology class in college and was taught its bad to let babies "cry it out." it cause cause attachment issues, trust and self esteem issues along with other problems

Mabe your baby has Colic you can try gripe water it worked for my last baby you can get it from your local health food store or Babies r us im not sure who else carries it but you can google it. That stuff worked wonders for me though within 15 mins of me giving it to him he would calm down and go right to sleep. @iisavana

@jstrong12712 I took 2 years of psychology and I never heard that! 😦That's very odd! And untrue! I have proof of that in the lives of my babies! Not 1 of them have n e of those issues! That's so weird they taught u that boo!

Really depends if its neglect, or actual parenting in my opinion ladies, @jstrong12712 @babyboolala and I changed her, fed her, burped her, swaddled her, rocked her, and just laid her down. My mom is staying the night tonight to see if she can't help me figure it all out.

I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!

anyone else's kid like this ???? my 7 week old daughter cannot be sat down. she has to be held 24/7 or she'll scream bloody murder until you get her. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING will comfort her, no swing, bouncer, sound machine, colic drops you name it we tried. nothing except someone holding her. it's so depressing I haven't cleaned in weeks an i never sleep. I feel like I'm alone...

I'm not trying to start a fight. I have been reading a lot of people saying that babies cannot be spoiled. I have found that to be incredibly false. My niece HAS to be held otherwise she will scream at the top of her lungs. She has to sleep with her mom or she won't sleep for more than 30 seconds. She is spoiled. She's only 5 and a half months old. I know a lot of other babies that are the same way but I was giving an actual personal experience example.

Hey mommies I need some help!!

Hey mommies I need some help!!
